Learn while you are working! The DHI approach

It is a well known fact that people learn best by doing. For over 40 years now, DHI have specialised in Workplace Learning. At last people are beginning to realise that sitting for hours in a classroom staring at a board or screen with a lecturer droning on is not a pleasant experience but one which people have resigned themselves to in order to become qualified.

DHI have never done that. Always, our courses have been team based, often on site in the clients factory or offices and with the participants immediately applying what they are learning to the realities of every day life where they work. It is extraordinary what has been achieved if you check our Case Study page.

Now we have applied that process to our Diploma in Quality Leadership and the Higher Diploma. Not only do our students end up with a qualification and unique state of the art knowledge but also something even more valuable than all of that. They will have completed an intense study of the validity and usefulness of all the core concepts in the quality sciences and disciplines to their organisation. In effect, the accumulation of their Assignments through the course will each become an invaluable implementation guide that can be used by them and the Company Top Team to create a programme designed to put them at the forefront of their industry. We believe this course to be unique in this respect.

Throw you books on the shelf and get on with the job! How many times have we heard people say that after completing an intensive course that has taken them away from their families. When they get back to their organisations, nobody has even noticed they have been away, nobody is interested in what they have learned and it was all a waste of time. The DHI Diploma just cannot, by the way it is structured result in such a situation.

Here is how it works

1. Potential student realises maybe as a consequence of a benchmarking visit or discussions with acquaintances, the need to learn more about Quality for his/her own career development and/or to help make his/her own organisation more competitive
